Decorator Icing

Frosting for Cut-out Cookies

Ingredients

1/2 cup shortening

1/2 cup butter

1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

4 cups confectioners sugar

2+ teaspoon milk

Various Food Colorings

Instructions

Let butter reach room temperature to soften.  (Take out of refrigerator one hour before using)   Using Electric Mixer, BLEND butter and shortening.  Add next four ingredients.  Divide frosting into several smaller dishes.  Add various different food coloring to each smaller amount.  Don't forget to leave one white.  Mix color in. 

Frost cut-out cookies using table knife.  Decorate with colored frosting/icing.
