Famous Oatmeal Scotchies

 （yes, it's the recipe on the butterscotch morsels bag)

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. salt

1 cup butter, room temperature

3/4 cup (granulated/white) sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

----

3 cups oatmeal

11 ounce package butterscotch chips

How to make:

Preheat oven to 375. degrees F.

COMBINE flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in small bowl.  Beat butter, both sugars, eggs and vanilla in large mixer bowl.  Gradually beat in flour mixture.  Stir in oats and butterscotch chips.   Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheets. 

BAKE for 7 or 8 minutes for chewy cookies... 9 or 10 minutes for crisp cookies.  Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes then remove to wire rack to cook completely.
